Drumroll please…Here’s this week’s tip:
“Make your decisions based on values.”
This sounds simple enough, right!
But, somehow parochial interests often get in the way when we lead.
Resist those selfish urges…It’s not good for you or the people you lead.
When values serve as the guiding compass for decision-making, leaders can navigate complex situations with clarity, avoiding the temptation to compromise long-term principles for short-term gains.
This approach fosters credibility, as team members and stakeholders see that decisions align with a higher standard of ethics rather than being driven purely by convenience or profit.
Moreover, value-based decision-making strengthens organizational culture by promoting alignment between individual actions and collective goals, helping to create a sense of shared purpose that unites the team and inspires everyone to contribute to a common mission.
Ultimately, it builds an environment where people feel confident that their efforts are part of something meaningful and special.
Don’t you want to lead with decency?
